The MAJCC awards evening was held on Monday 25th of March at Blake Street Shul. Over 150 players and parents attended a celebration of the season. This year the format was successfully changed and included Michael Shafar as MC, a Jewish Comedian who is currently performing at the international comedy festival. Michael thoroughly entertained us with his mix of humour and wit. We celebrated the success of the season with the following individual major awards :
Amir Myerowitz
Jhett Haeta
Ari Fell
Zaki Belfer
Darron Kupshik
Jhett Haeta

Samith Danushka
David Kupshick
Allan Rosen
The night was a celebration of the season and included the above individual awards as well as team awards.
We highlighted the following during the evening:
Promoting girls cricket has been a priority for the Committee over the last few years, and to this end we held a “try out” day for girls in early October 2018 to coincide with our season launch. This year was very exciting for us in this regard as we had two mixed girls teams in our Master Blaster Competition.
We were lucky enough to have Michael Klinger join during pre-season and our players having the opportunity to bowl to him in the nets. They also listened intently as he imparted advice and fielded questions.
A pleasing development over the last few years has been the effort made to bring the Junior and Senior clubs closer to one another with many of our Seniors coaching our younger age groups, and having relocated training to Caulfield Park many of our Juniors stay on after their training to train with the Seniors. In this spirit of cooperation both clubs came together to host a very successful T15 Chanukah Cricket Festival. Our U17’s played the seniors in a hotly contested game with the Seniors running out winners. It was great to have so many Juniors to watch the game and enjoying the BBQ, donuts and menorah lighting.
We were delighted that Five out of Eight eligible teams participated in finals, with our U17's and U13 Jets going through to the grand final this year. It shows that our investment in coaching is paying dividends.
A huge congratulations to our U13 Jets for winning the flag. We are very proud of their achievements this year.
None of what the club has achieved this season would be possible without the generous support of our sponsors Liberty Oil, Gary Peer, KCL Law, House and Henry Jolsen Pathways.
Finally are hoping to build on our success next season, we are aiming to have more sides qualify for finals and are looking forward to fielding further girls teams in our various competitions.
